Kazakh president rules out shift to parliamentary republic, backs strong presidency model

ASTANA. Sept 11 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated on Thursday that a transition to a parliamentary republic is not on the agenda, clarifying the intent behind his proposed reforms to the parliamentary system.
